Belview Port sits on the north side of the River Suir in Gorteens, County Kilkenny and is managed by the Port of Waterford. The 500-metre wharf handles container traffic and uses a reinforced concrete deck supported by concrete beams and tubular steel piles.
Inspections identified cracking and spalling on several support beams, mainly along the Container Terminal. GABE erected access to the sides and soffit of the wharf. The team repaired concrete defects and blast-cleaned and painted the tops of the tubular steel piles. The works started in July 2018 and finished in November 2018.
