UB82 Drogheda Viaduct Refurbishment

GABE undertook specialist railway viaduct refurbishment works on spans 13, 14 and 15 of UB82 Drogheda Viaduct.

The project involved the design and installation of access scaffolding and full encapsulation. These systems provided access to the steelwork and contained the surface preparation and painting activities.

GABE’s specialist team manually cleaned and power washed the steelwork before carrying out mechanical preparation and grit blasting. The team then applied protective coatings to the prepared surfaces.

The works combined specialist access, steel surface preparation and protective coating application as part of the refurbishment of the railway viaduct.

This project demonstrates GABE’s expertise in railway infrastructure refurbishment, scaffolding, encapsulation and protective coatings.
